TREND IT UP | ROSY TOUCH FOUNDATION & CONCEALER | FIRST IMPRESSIONS | WEAR TEST

I haven't bought a new foundation in a quite a while actually and walking into my local DM a seeing the new Trend It Up display just did something to me and I need to try the collection. I picked up both the foundation and the concealer because why not try both, right?

The Trend It Up Rosy Touch Foundation is a longwearing hydrating foundation that promises a radiant finish. It helps keeping moisture in the skin and contains collagen. According to the website there are 2 shades...which is terrible, there's nothing else to say about that really. But limited edition products from drugstore brands often have very limited shade ranges. I got the lightest shade 010. You get 30ml of product and it retails for 129 Crowns.

The foundation comes in a light pink tube with a pump. I like that there's a transparent window on the tube so you can actually see the shade. The lightest shade is pretty much a perfect match for me so if you're very pale it will probably be too dark for you. I like that it has a neutral/warm undertone but still, there just have to be more shades.

The Trend It Up Rosy Touch Concealer is from the same limited edition collection. It also promises a hydrating effect, contains collagen and it's supposed to be crease-proof. It also should be longwearing and it's dermatologically tested. It comes in two shades again, I got the shade 010 which is the lighter one. It retails for something around 90 Crowns, I couldn't find the exact price online.

The concealer comes in a tube which has a wand. I don't like that the tube is just light pink and you cannot see how the shade looks like. In times where you cannot really use testers it's a little annoying. The shade is more highlighting and the concealer doesn't really claim to have any type of coverage. I assume it's going to be more hydrating and natural as well.

The colormatch of both products is pretty good to me and I must say that I like finish of these as well. The foundation is quite sheer which is the coverage I go for on the daily but it also doesn't look or feel oily or slippery. It has a nice radiant finish and looks very hydrating.

The concealer is lighter coverage than I'd like. I usually go for more light coverage foundation and then add a bit more strategically placed coverage with my concealer. But it does have a nice lightweight texture and seems nice and hydrating. It looks less glowy than the foundation which is good because I powder my undereyes a lot and sometimes dewy formulas don't play well with powders.

Wear test

I rarely go to the office these days so I had to use this opportunity to get a wear test going. I applied the foundation with my fuzzy sponge and it went on pretty smooth and pretty sheer as well. I really like the finish of it. It's very radiant but doesn't feel slippery or oily at all. It doesn't fully sink into the skin but it still looks very natural upon application. I really like the shade, it's such a good match for me.

The concealer is also very nice but I could use a little bit more coverage under my eyes so I decided to use a little bit of a peachy color corrector. It blended really well and both products meshed together nicely. I would also say they both the foundation and the concealer worked well with the powder and the creamy products I've used didn't disrupt the base at all.

Wear time 10 hours

The foundation stayed on nice during the day but I feel like it didn't really blend in with my skin that well. It was sitting on top of it the whole day but that's something a lot of foundations do. I really liked the natural look of it though. It's very sheer but looks really nice and perfects the skin just enough. It was quite disrupted in the usual areas like around my mouth and nose (damn you flu season) and under my glasses. But honestly it could've been way worse and overall it still looked very presentable after the 10 hour wear. It didn't even start budging between my brows or separating anywhere.

The only thing I don't really love is the blue hue under my eyes which is coming through. I would appreciate a little more coverage in that area because that concealer just wasn't strong enough. But overall it still looks nice, I just need to get a little more sleep, you know.

Final thoughts

Is the Rosy Touch limited edition collection worth it? It really depends. The shade range is really bad but if your skintone looks similar to mine I would recommend trying these products out.

Particularly the foundation is a really nice glowy everyday foundation that lasts really well on my skin and looks nice and radiant without being oily or slipping around. I think I might prefer using brush with it because the sponge doesn't seem to work it into the skin as well. But overall I really like the formula and the finish as well.

Trend It Up is a very affordable brand so trying out their products doesn't cost you a fortune and who knows, maybe this could be your new favorite foundation if you're looking for something natural and glowy for the autumn weather.

The concealer is a meh in my opinion. It's not bad if you're not into full coverage concealers and I think it's a nice one to wear on its own because it's easier to blend it with the skin when it's lower coverage. But for a full face of makeup I don't think it has enough coverage for me. But I do really like the formula and it lasted really well too.

Have you tried any Trend It Up foundations and concealer? This was my first time trying them out and I quite enjoyed them. Thanks for reading!
