NYX always has foundation game on point, so I'm always thrilled to see what's next in line to impress me. Their last foundation launches have been really good and I enjoyed both the Bare with Me Tinted Skin Veil and the Can't Stop Won't Stop Foundation, because they were both something I was looking for at the time I bought them.
This time, NYX also strikes at the best time to put out a glowy natural foundation. It's getting colder and dryer outside, everyone's kind of over the full coverage matte beat, and everyone's coming out with a new foundation and they are often not matte of full coverage foundations. I can see why they came out with a new foundation right now.
NYX Born to Glow Naturally Radiant Foundation has a very deceiving name in my opinion. I went to a masterclass by NYX where they kind of introduced this foundation and everyone thought it's going to be a very dewy one. It was really not the case. It's a radiant foundation, which makes it a little more glowy and shine-from-within like, but it's not really one of those super glowy, dewy, slippery foundations.
It's a buildable, medium coverage foundation, which comes in 45 shades. NYX has their shade range really well built, I really like how inclusive they are and how many undertones they offer as well. It should amp up your natural glow, smooth and even out the skin and just make you a glowing godess according to the website. The shades should correspond to the CSWS foundation shades, so if you already have a good match in that one, shade matching should be a lot easier for you here.
It comes in a squeezy tube, which has a nicely secure lid, I really like that. You get 30ml of product and the bottle looks quite small, but the amount is very average, in a good way. There's a see-through window on the packaging, so you can see how the shade looks for real. I really like the packaging of it.
I picked up the shade 06 Vanilla, because when I got matched for the Can't Stop Won't Stop Foundation, it was a pure winter and I haven't been anywhere on vacation that year and I was my fully palest me. This time I got shade matched by NYX makeup artist, which is by the way amazing! And she gave me testers for 02 Alabaster, which I thought I had, and also 06 Vanilla, because that's what I looked like to her. So at the end she was right, and I went and bought 06 Vanilla, because it looked way more me.
Wear test
As always I did a three day testing process, using cream base products at least once. I do use cream contour and bronzing all the time anyway, so it's important for me to see how it all blends with a foundation before it's set with a powder.
Day 1
I applied this foundation for the second time today, after trying it out as a tester to shade match. I am very surprisingly the shade 6 Vanilla and I think it matches me way better than 2 Alabaster which I have in the Can't Stop Won't Stop Foundation.
I overapplied a little because I'm not too used to sponges anymore and I looked like a cake city because it was soooo frickin' hot outside. So yeah, next time probably won't go too hard on it, me. The coverage is really nice though, I expected it to be a little more sheer. The finish is nice and flattering, very skin-like and natural. It's not too dewy, which may seem like it from the name. I overall like the product.

This was a way too long of a day. It was super hot, everything got really gross and messy because I was boiling half the day and my whole face was a cakey mess by noon. That was totally my fault though. It came off on many places, I look so bad on the "end of the day" photo, but I think I know how to make this work now.
I really like that is feels like nothing on the skin and it's very easy to blend and work with it. I just really went too heavy with it, because I got a little too excited by the coverage.
Day 2
Today I decided to go for a cream base look, because I haven't used a cream blush in a hot minute. I went a little less heavy with the foundation, but it still may have been too much. I also tried a mattifying primer from Fenty, just to make sure, everything stays nice and in place. The cream contour blended as well as always, but the blush is making me look a little too blushy for my liking and the foundation seems a little patchy that way.

I took my foundation to the gym today to give it a little extra heat. To my surprise, after hour in a gym and overall quite a long day, it stayed very intacted and very wearable looking. It started caking a little bit on my forehead and between my brows, but that's mostly because I wear glasses and in the gym, my nose and middle brow area tend to get very sweaty and oily. Other than that, I think that my contour stayed looking fresh and nice, the blush didn't really move and it wasn't getting worse in the blush region, I just didn't like the application from the start. However, it didn't mess with my foundation texture at all, it just looked a little off.
Overall I liked how it lasted, but I do have more durable foundations in case I need to go to the gym and then somewhere else. But it survived and my skin doesn't feel too gross and sweaty.
Day 3
Today I went for a very simple look, a little smokey eye and nothing too complicated. I went in with the Fenty Matte primer again, because I really think it makes a great difference when I wear more luminous foundations. Everything blended really well, I'm just founding out that with this foundation I really need way less product than with my other foundations, which is a little surprizing but also quite nice.

After endless anxiety from trying to get my hands on the Jeffree Star x Shane Dawson Collection, I looked at my face to end the wear test and get myself an anti-ageing mask. Oh boy, that ordering and website crashing made me age like 10 years. But, I got the pallete bundle. I am as happy as can be.
But, my face isn't. I don't look totally garbage but I don't look great. The foundation was a little budgy between my brows, little wiped off around my nose and smilelines and overall looking a little cakey. Did I overapply again? I really like how it looked through the day but after 10 hours I feel like it goes a little downhill.
Final thoughts
I am still a little torn when it comes to this foundation. I like the finish, I like that little goes a long way, that it has a natural finish and that it feels very nice on the skin. I just can't figure out how to make it last 12+ hours.
If you have dry to normal skin I think you could really like it, but with a combo skin like me, be aware that this may not last too long when treated wrong and that bugs me a little bit.
I am not too thrilled about the foundation, I like the thought of it and I think that people with dry skin finally got their cut in foundations this year but be mindful and get a sample if you want to buy it so you can test it properly and see how it works for your skin.
I like it, I will continue using it, but it will be more everyday foundation than "I need to last all day all night" foundation. However, even though it didn't convince me with its lasting abilities, I love the coverage and the way it blends and sits on the skin when you apply it. So performance-wise it's a really good one.
