I am still very upset because Lottie London doesn't ship to Czech Republic...well at least we have ASOS my friends so I could finally try something from one of my favorite drugstore brands ever...
The Lottie London Velvet Skin Tint Foundation is one of the newest Lottie London complexion products and it's vibing hard with the no-makeup makeup style. I wanted to try it since it came out but it's really hard to get your hands on this brand here, so I waited and waited and here we finally are.
This foundation retails for roughly 10 Pounds and comes in 8 shades. Now let me tell ya, the shade range is horrific and I honestly thought that the shades weren't on the ASOS website because they were sold out...this is terrible. People, fix this. I didn't have much to choose from anyway so I took the shade Fair N010 which is a very pale neutral shade.
It comes in a chubby plastic squeezy bottle so the packaging is travel friendly and clumsy people friendly as well, so I like it a lot. It claims to achieve a soft-focus, lightweight matte finish with just a couple drops. It should smooth out your skin and it claims to be longwearing.
Now let me tell ya, I should've picked a darker shade no matter how darker it would be. This literally looks white on me when I'm tan. It has a really decent coverage, I was expecting just a very sheer wash of pigment but this is like high-medium coverage easily. It's a nice surprise actually but I wish I had a darker shade. The texture seems very lightweight and not heavy at all but be careful when shade matching and maybe trust the matching tool more than I did.
Wear test
I did the wear test a little late to the day because I wasn't sure if I'm going to be going anywhere that day. And I ended up having a pretty busy day. The foundation applied really well but it's a little too light for me. I picked up a very pale shade so I looked like a snowman right after the application. You can always balance it out a little bit like I did with some bronzer and more bronzer and tinted powder. But it's probably more my winter shade than summer shade. I didn't realize how much tan I got on my vacation.

Wear time 9 hours
Usually I would wear a foundation for even longer but it's so hot outside these days that I just couldn't stand it anymore. I was outside, I was running down the mall, at movies, having a nice lunch and spending a big part of my travels this day with a mask on. You still have to wear mask on the subway here. So it was quite a tough one I would say. The foundation looked pretty well when I came back home. I was surprised because I was pretty much sure that pad thai, popcorn and constantly touching my face + wearing a mask is not going to end well. But it actually quite did. The only thing is that there's a bare patch of skin between by eyebrows and I have no idea how did that happen at all. There's just no foundation there but I'm pretty sure it was some kind of mechanical problem so I probably swiped my hand across my face without realizing it. Other than that my face looked pretty smooth and not too dry. The foundation didn't really separate anywhere else and I think the formula is pretty longwearing.
Final thoughts
I am a little on the fence with this one even though I wore it multiple times already. I like it but I would feel more comfortable with having less coverage. I know it sound odd but I just think it looks heavier than it feels and I'm a great fan of skin tints and lightweight makeup but this one doesn't quite hit the note for me.
It's affordable and works really well and I would say it's reasonably longlasting. I feel like it can work well for about 10-12 hours and I really like the texture of it but the shade range is really bad and my shade match is just not it so I'm not sure how often will I reach for it. There's nothing wrong with it and I recommend trying it out if you think it could work for you and you don't mind fuller coverage in your lightweight products.
Have you tried this foundation? I am still a little bamboozled by it...let me know your thoughts in the comments and thanks for reading!
