L.YS | HIGHER STANDARD SATIN MATTE CREAM BLUSH | REVIEW | WEAR TEST

I believe that the cream blush era will never end and as my collection keeps growing, I want to give you more and more reviews on my dear cream blushes so you can choose the right one for you.

The L.YS Higher Standard Satin Matte Cream Blush is a high-pigment ultra creamy blush for all skin tones and all skin types. It promises natural flush of color that can be built up to a full on blush moment. It contains vitamin E, avocado oil and kaolin clay to calm and soothe, lock in hydration and reduce appearance of pores and limit excess shine. It comes in 9 beautiful shades, I have the shade Kindness which is described as a soft peachy nude. It retails for $16 and it is also cruelty-free.

It comes in the standard L.YS compact that is triangular and for once it is not shiny but soft matte rosegold. You get 6.5g of product and a huge mirror. I really like that their compacts are magnetic. It's the little things.

The blush itself if very creamy and the texture looks very even when swatched. It is buildable so it really depends on how munch you dig your fingers into it when you swatch it. The shade Kindness is a bit more on the coral side than peachy but it's a beautiful orange-toned shade that looked right up my alley. It can be very intense when applied so it's better to start little by little. The pan is huge so I can imagine that a product this pigmented will last you a while.

It is supposed to be matte but matte cream blushes tend to have a powdery matte texture which this one certainly does not have. I would describe it more as a satin because you don't have that chalkiness other blushes sometimes have.

Wear test

I applied the blush straight from the pan with my Zoeva Petite Stippling Brush which is my favorite for cream blushes. When I swatched it it looked very sheer but when I applied it like that it was suuuuuper pigmented and vibrant. It's a beautiful color and I really like the texture as well. It's not too dewy and I cannot see any glitters in the formula either. But it gives you pretty natural and glowy flush that looks very pretty.

It didn't disrupt my base and it kind of set into a satin finish. Very pretty! It also didn't fade too much after powdering my face so I didn't feel the need to go in with a powder blush on top. That's always a good thing.

Wear time 9 hours

I am quite happy with this blush to be honest. I was weartesting a skin tint today as well so the bottom part of my face looks quite bad. However, the blush is still there. It's not as vibrant as it was in the morning but that's to be expected. It's slightly faded but very even and uniform in color without any patches or weird behaviour. It also didn't feel heavy at any point. I really like that! Even though I wore a mask for quite some time today, the blush is not patchy or uneven.

Final thoughts

I feel like this blush is one of the nicest blushes I've used in a while. It applies nicely and evenly and it also wears really well which is a must with a cream blush. Besides that you also have a beautiful compact with a huge mirror that is very convinient and I feel like the price is very fair.

I love that the shades are for all skin tones and based on the reviews and swatches I saw they really pop on anyone. The blushes are often sold out but I would love to get my hands on more shades because the shade range feels a lot different than other brands' blush shade ranges and there are many very unique tones that I would love to own as well.

The amount you get is very good too and since you need only a little bit to really make it pop, it's a pretty damn great blush to have and I would definitely recommend it to anyone who loves cream blushes or wants to start with them. The formula is very fool-proof and not too dewy or tricky to work with. That makes it a perfect starter cream blush as well.
