FLORMAR | MATTIFYING BB CREAM | REVIEW

I always liked Flormar products, but they are pretty difficult to get a hold of here. However, Teta drugstore has your back. Recently they got all new kinds of products and I couldn't be more excited.

I'm all about the light coverage and natural finishes these days, but BB creams never tend to work for me. I am very pale and every BB cream I ever tried just gave me a weird orange cast. This one however looks very promising.

The Flormar Mattifying BB Cream with SPF 25 is a new addition to the Flormar products in this country and to be honest it caught my eye immidiatelly. Because the color looked very nice and not orange! There are 6 shades in total, that's not great. They're somewhat distributed into a balanced shade range, but let's face it, this is just not good.

I grabbed the shade 01 Fair, because I am an actual ghost. However, it's still pretty hard considering it's the lightest shade. I can make it work though. It has a nice neutral undertone, which suits me but may not suit everybody.

I comes in a squeezy tube, which I like, and you get 35ml of product, which is a decent amount. I cannot find the price in the drugstore where I bought this product, but it was around 260 Crowns. It's not a bad price but it's a little up there for a BB cream in my opinion.

Let's get to the claims. It's supposed to smooth and mattify the skin leaving a comfortable matte finish. It has SPF 25 and let's face it, it sounds like a great companion for the summer everyday wear. It does smell a lot like SPF, which is to be expected. SPF in products sometimes irritates my face, so we'll see how this one works.

Wear test

I'll do the one day in depth kind of wear test, since I still cannot go to work. I have worn this product several times by the time I write this wear test portion, so I kind of know what to expect. So let's dive into the details.

I usually apply this product with a sponge, because I cannot find a brush that doesn't make it streaky. It has a very decent coverage for a BB cream. It feels a little irritating on the skin for a bit, but with a good primer underneath, it goes away quickly. I tend to use more hydrating primers with this BB cream, because it has a matte finish and I don't want my face to look super dry by the end of the day. I also believe that the irritation is caused by the SPF. So if you're sensitive to that, be aware.

Wear time 11 hours

I kept this one on for quite a long time. I got caught up in a full focus cleaning and decluttering situation and couldn't get out. My makeup looked flawless the whole time though. I don't look like the most hydrated person ever, but I didn't get oily and the base looks like it would just a couple hours in. I look very smooth and very ready for the day, I am really impressed by the lasting power. It's a little faded around places where I have small blemishes and where I touch my face a lot, like my chin and nose. There are also huge dents where my glasses are, but these cannot be avoided.

Also, my face wasn't irritated with the SPF today, I am not sure why exactly. Maybe the Aloe Vera infused primer and a squalane primer did some very hydrating porefilling magic, but my face didn't feel itchy at all.

In the pictures, I look a little rough, to be honest I was very tired and the ringlight sometimes really isn't the most flattering. But I think you can see, that there are no missing patches of the base or any oily spots.

Final thoughts

I often struggle finding the right BB cream, because the shades are usually very off and not close to my pale face at all. Even though the shade range is not great, this BB cream at least have decent shades and I was able to find a good match.

I am impressed by the coverage, I appreciate the SPF 25 and I really like the wear time of this product. It's pretty matte, so if you have dry face, be careful or moisturize a lot before you wear it. I blends OK, the consistency is a little thick but it's easy to work with but I think it applies better with a sponge.

I really like how much of the product you get and the price is decent for what you get. If you cannot find a good BB cream and you don't mind the matte finish, I would highly recommend. This one is probably one of my favorite everyday foundations / skin products.

Do you have a favorite BB cream I should know about? Let me know in the comments below if I'm missing out on anything and thanks for reading!
